5 fingers

My vibram five finger ‘shoes’ just came from moosejaw, courtesy of my mom’s holiday gift.  Thanks mom!

It was recommended that I start out with some socks, too.  These things look ridiculous, but I’m guessing they will make things feel better until my feet get used to the new shoes.

Also, seeing as there is about 2″ 3″ of snow on the ground now, and sub 20 degree temperatures, I’ll just be using these inside for my exercises for a while. I’ve been playing with a little P90X videos, and they are wearing me out!

Tonight I am playing soccer with my fellow classmates, our team: “The Nerd Herd”. As usual with teams that I join, we lost our first game (luckily it didn’t count). Tonight’s does count, so hopefully we will step up our game.

The feet shoes! They claim another victim! Lol. My friend Ding has them and loves them. He wore them when he went back to Taiwan and he said everyone was gawking.

Also, WHAT UP with this snow?? It’s supposedly over double what we normally have at this point in the season. I don’t think I’d mind if my car hadn’t had a run-in with a curb because of it…

Today’s was quite lovely here. Very sparkly. But yes, the roads have been quite slick, especially after having rain just the other day. I hope your car gets better soon, and I’m glad you weren’t hurt!

Oh, haha, car is fine, wallet is the one in pain. But I’ll live. (And drive EVEN SLOWER. I’m going to be that stupid granny car that people yell at, “It’s just snow, not the apocalypse!” And I’ll be thinking, “I know that, but I have freaking rear-wheel drive because my car is from Texas!”)

Have you tried the buster cube with Riley, yet?

Haha, yes. He had a hard time figuring it out so he got frustrated/grumbly. It was kind of amusing. I think we’re going to have to help him learn it. Does that make him stupid?

Yes, but it is ok. It took Dill nearly 2 weeks of my ‘teaching’ before she started doing it on her own. She still can’t finish the whole thing. Toward the end I have to take the screw in thing out so that they fall out faster. She goes ballistic when she sees me doing that (even if I put it back in). One thing I did while training her on it was to hold a handful of food and toss a piece out quickly each time she pushes it around, even if one doesn’t fall out on its own.

Oh good, so it’s not just that Riley’s dumb. Lol.

    No, not just Riley.
